It’s almost time for Quilt Market! My fingers have been busy whipping up samples for Shannon Brinkley. She’s releasing her first fabric line called Dryad with Paintbrush Studio Fabrics. I created a few things from existing patterns and some from my own patterns. I will have my patterns up for sale on my website soon.
Hi. It’s been a while. I’m so very excited to be working with Kim Kight again for market this season. I can’t share what I’m working on for Fall 2015 just yet but I thought I would share a few projects I made for her Lucky Strikes line this last Spring.
I had the best time making the wooden handled reversible purse below. I used Kim’s unbleached cotton canvas Lucky in Mustard and quilting cotton Domino Plaid in Turquoise.
I also made a super adorable bowling outfit for a little lady. I modified a bowling shirt pattern and created a gathered elastic skirt. For the pocket, collar, and bottom of the skirt I used Cotton + Steel‘s pink metallic x basic. Kim’s Ladies League Gold was such a fun choice for the top and I’m in love with her clothesline floral in periwinkle for the main skirt fabric.
It’s always a pleasure to work with Kim on her new lines and I’m just bubbling over with excitement on the new fall line as well. I promise I will share more as soon as I can.
In the meantime, I look forward to seeing what beautiful things you are working on. Happy sewing and creating.
